I’ve never purchased a vehicle from a dealership before. I didn’t know what to expect, if the sales people would be overly aggressive, if they would try to hide charges in the contract, play the what size payment can you afford game I’ve heard so many horror stories about in the past from friends and family members. I searched vehicles online, found a few I was interested in, and started making phone calls. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I spoke with a very polite, respectful and intelligent young man named Julio Fierro. He answered all my questions, we set up a time to meet the next day, and he even sent me a video of the car showing how nice it is inside and out. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted very warmly and introduced to Julio. He wasted no time pulling the car around and we took a look at it inside and out. We got in the car and I was shocked at all the digital displays, knobs and buttons, features that blew my mind. My newest vehicle was a 1999 with no electrical anything, everything standard with locks you push and windows you crank. I had no idea how to operate this car, no key to start, it was a button! Needless to say, we sat there about twenty minutes while Julio went over all the features and controls explaining everything to me. He immediately put me at ease and I loved how patient he was with me. We test drove the vehicle and I liked it a lot. Then I thought oh my gosh here comes the part I’m dreading, haggling over the price. I don’t want to get taken advantage of but I know they’re in the business to make money so it needs to be fair and equitable. Julio presented me with an offer, I countered and they immediately came back with a better offer that I accepted happily especially when I learned it included a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty. I’m extremely pleased with my experience at Heyward Allen GMC, the employees are very nice, Julio did an amazing job helping me with the purchase and Anthony found me the best interest rates for financing. So I normally don't do reviews but this was by far one of the most laid-back dealerships I've bought a vehicle from. There was no pressure to buy anything and they really did cater to you as far as what you needed and what you can afford. Jorge and the rest of his team were great. Great overall experience. Maks Johnson was awesome guy to work with. Everyone did what they could to work with my schedule. They ladies in the front were sweet, polite and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable! They worked an awesome deal that I felt was reasonable for the truck I was buying. As long as they hold up their end of the deal and my tailgate gets replaced without any hiccups, I’ll give them 5stars!
